1. Sodium Hydroxide in Energy
In the energy sector, sodium hydroxide is used in fuel cell production. Fuel cells work like batteries to cleanly and efficiently produce electricity for a range of applications, including transportation; materials handling; and stationary, portable and emergency backup power applications. Epoxy resins, manufactured with sodium hydroxide, are used in wind turbines.
2. Sodium Hydroxide in several applications by the petroleum and natural gas industry for production (and exploration) and in the processing of products.
It is an important component of most drilling muds, and can be used in alkaline flooding of oil fields for enhanced petroleum recovery.
Tianjin Yuanlong Caustic Soda in flakes, beads, or liquid form. Some industries prefer flakes or beads as it is considered safer for transportation. The liquid version is also available. Caustic Soda provides many solutions to aid in drilling and fractions. It helps to solubilize acidic compounds, it assists in reducing the corrosively of water-based drilling fluids, it increases the hydration rate of dispersed clays, and in lime-based drilling muds, it reduced the solubility of lime.
